FUNDAMENTAL FASHION STYLING

The stylist has an excellent sense of fashion and is able to create a look that is instantly recognizable and identifiable.

The stylist plays a key role during a photo shoot and/or a fashion show, helping to convey what theme the photographer, models, make-up artists and hair-stylists must adopt, studies the correct ambiance, finds the right accessories, studies proper placement, and is in charge of fittings, etc.

The stylist is also in charge of visual merchandising and/or works with magazines to decide what to display for the upcoming season.

Professional Opportunities

The stylist works in team with the designer during fashion shows or other events to display the latest fashion collections.  He Is in charge of the “image” of the collection, pairing up clothing and accessories to give extra value to the designers work.

This is what makes or breaks the event. The majority of work takes place during periods with fashion shows and other events, and also in television and cinema: in this case working behind the set to pick outfits for the various actors.

Stylists work with various heads of fashion and magazines, show-rooms, press agencies, fashion houses, and also freelance for various agencies. The stylist also works for fashion magazines, helps to organize events and fashion shows, acts as a P.R., costume stylist, and personal shopper.
